A New Journey

Type and backspace, Type and backspace, and then delete. That is what I have done for days as I struggle with the fact that God has said GO!  Now that I have your attention…. Let me explain. As early as two years ago God began to birth dreams in my heart. Dreams really that I thought would never exist in reality. About a year ago, my husband & I were on a walk in our neighborhood and I began to tell him about some of the dreams that lived inside me. He was immediately right on board and excited to hear of the things that God was placing inside my heart! 

From that point, I began to prepare as I enrolled in the School of Ministry with the Assemblies of God and today I am a credentialed minister! That was a special day!! 

Have you ever had the Lord impress things on your heart and yet you still doubted? 

Yea, me too!  I knew it was His voice telling me but I still had to test it. I stepped out in faith and connected with some Pastors and a few doors are beginning to open. I had a talk with God and asked him for three confirmations, one of them being a little crazy, but you know.......! Time passed and within two months, you guessed it, God has given me ALL THREE confirmations, even the crazy one! Our God has a sense of humor too!  You have no idea how that felt. Wow what a river of tears! I knew immediately what this step of ministry was to be called…OVERCOMING LIFE! So many obstacles of different shapes and sizes exist in our lives. Yet, our lives are abundant in HIM!!!  And if you are like me you find those obstacles many times in every direction you turn. The very day I was settled in my heart to release the dreams within me, others released their dreams. ( It’s hard to explain) BUT the enemy used it to convince me that “there was no need for this” “there was no room for me” , but the truth is if God says GO, He has a path for me too and my path is designed for me! We serve a God just that awesome! 

Do you ever find that YOU are your biggest obstacle at times? Many times you just allow yourself to get in the way! I do! I don’t always believe in myself as I should and that sure is funny, because it’s not even about ME , ITS ALL ABOUT HIM! It’s hard for me to believe many times that things will turn out as God has spoken them and that HE WILL MAKE the necessary doors to open! Trust can really get you if you let it! 

 Maybe you are asking why are you sharing this? Well, several reasons: First, I want to encourage YOU! Do you have dreams, God given desires, and hopes for your future? Well, TRUST! God is not one that should lie and His promises are yes and Amen! Secondly, would you agree with me in prayer for God’s will to be done! God has been moving and I know I can trust Him with all things! Would you join me on this journey as we OVERCOME LIFE and stand in HIS VICTORY!

Proverbs 3: 5-6 TRUST in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will direct your paths.
