EVERY DETAIL! Day by day, moment by moment.......

This thing called “Life” is one big journey!  If you are like me, you recognize this more and more each day. The fact that our lives can take so many different directions can be truly overwhelming at times.

 Another truth is that we know God leads and guides our every step.

 Psalm 37:23 The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.

EVERY DETAIL!  Did you catch that? 

That is an amazing reminder! 

Let me remind you that your journey is also impacted by the day by day, moment by moment, choices that you make.  

One step, One moment at a time!

In my own life, I have to admit I have been so overwhelmed at times by the different roads and journeys that this life affords. Why? Because it would seem every time I set out on a road, I was overcome with fear or worry that I would stumble on this path. That the road I had taken would turn out to be the “wrong turn” or the “path of failure”.  I wanted God to send me one of those GPS maps with “MY PATH” outlined in red! Often times, begged him for this map. Knowing in my heart, God if you would just send this to me today I would be on my way, trusting YOU, every step of the way. Free of worry and free of stumbles! 

Ok, am I alone in this? Hope not, cause there it is!!

So many times I have let my own emotions of walking the paths of faith detour me from where I knew God was leading me. He was leading me into paths of dreams, visions, and into the very desires of my heart!

 Many of us in travel today set out with our GPS on go and trust its words of direction the entire trip until we hear the words “You have reached your destination”!  (My family always celebrates in the car when we hear those words!! It’s just comforting!)

Never let a stumble be the end of your journey!

The definition of journey means to travel from one place to another.  With that in mind, we know, Life is a journey not a destination!

I pray today that as you make choices along this path of Life you will be filled with courage to stay the course! Just because road blocks are in your path does not mean you should turn around or give up! Just because your journey seems long and the kid in you wants to scream out “Are we there yet” doesn’t mean it’s not coming!  Stay the course and follow God”s Word that is a map for our life that says:

Psalm 37:4-9  Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him. Do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret-it leads only to evil. For those who are evil will be destroyed, but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land.

Today, even THIS moment is a choice! Choose the path of encouragement, Not discouragement!  God has great things in store! He has given us a road map of God’s precious Word and yes there will be road blocks, stumbles, and emotions along the way, but as I once heard.... never dwell on one OBSTACLE too long for tomorrow is a brand new day!
