Under His Wings

Hello! I am so excited to finally be taking a moment to write another devotion! In this world we live in we certainly need to soak up all the Godly encouragement we can get hold of! Many reports seem to be those to cause fear to rise up within us. I want to turn my thoughts today to the ONE who is greater than all fear.

His name is greater that any sickness or disease. His name is more powerful than an army or leader and I chose to put my TRUST in Him alone. He promises to never fail me!

Proverbs 3: 25,26 Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, for the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being snared.

Hebrews 13:6 So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?"

I just have to share one more... Psalm 91:6 says that He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, not the plague that destroys at midday.

And, my friend, those arrows by day can come in many forms! The devil fires those arrows in hopes to kill, steal, & destroy in your life,  BUT he will not prevail!!

I absolutely love the calming feeling I get when I think of being covered in the feathers and wings of my Lord!!
The truth is with all the calamity around in the nations, country, communities, homes, and hearts ...we must find a place of safety and peace!! I am reminding myself today that the safety and peace that I long for is found only in Jesus!

It's a peace that this world and all its reports cannot give. But the report of my Lord is that he gives a peace in the midst of any storm, He will keep our hearts from trouble if we rest in Him.
I pray for all those in the midst of  hard situations today... we all face them for sure! I also pray for all those being affected by the turmoil we hear reported on the news.
But remember the news report is not the only report. There is also a report in God's Word and that report say that "WE WIN"! "WE OVERCOME!"

Romans 8: 37-39
No, In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present not the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
