COMMON THREADS

It is so wonderful to connect with you once again! I am so excited to have the opportunity for us encourage and inspire one another today!!

In the past few weeks it seems that every direction I turn the circumstances and situations that I am facing want to whisper voices of defeat and discouragement. It seems that my very own weaknesses have been trying to consume my being and yet I know of the strength that lies within me!

So often, it's those weaknesses that keep us from being all that God wants us to be. I don't even have to ask you if you have weaknesses too because the truth is....I know that answer is YES! We all have weaknesses....yet....most of the time we are so afraid that our weaknesses will be revealed. We want to seem as though "we got this" or surely we are "Christian" enough to handle all things. Ha! I find the more honest we are with ourselves, with our friends and family, and with God the more we can understand how to find VICTORY in our very own weakness.

Weaknesses are a COMMON THREAD among everyone!!

Why are we so afraid for those to be exposed?

In God's Word found in Corinthians we find the Apostle Paul struggling with an issue that he describes as "a thorn in the flesh". Obviously, his trial was so great he felt weak.

The truth is we all feel weak at times but we must know where our strength comes from!!

2 Corinthians 12: 8-10 NIV
Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

When everything in our lives is going great we tend to rely on our own strength but its in those storms of life that we feel so weak! It is also in those very weak moments that God is made strong! Our strength is always inadequate. Whether our life is going great or in a season of storms we are always to rely on the strong arm of our Great and Wonderful God!!

Do you feel weak today? Do you struggle with having to seem perfect in the eyes of those around you? Do you feel like a failure if you expose a weakness to even your family?

Yea! I use to feel the same way!! But praise God he has given me strength and VICTORY over those areas in my life and I pray the same for you!
We don't serve a God who expects us to be perfect. He does give us a road map for life in the Word of God and we are to strive with ALL OUR heart, soul and mind to serve Him and represent Him with excellence!
But He never expected that you could handle life on your own. That is why He gave his very life because He knew you would need a helper much stronger than yourself.

Isaiah 40:31  But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

Take heart today!! Do not let your weaknesses make you weak.... Let them make you strong!! We serve a STRONG and POWERFUL God who is never weak!! He wears the VICTOR'S CROWN!!
( By the way, if you want a blessing listen to the song titled Victor's Crown....it will bless your socks off!! I love that song!!)

Being a Christian or even a disciple of Jesus is not about figuring out how to seem strong or walk around like you have it all together....it's about admitting that we need a Savior that gave His all for you. A Savior that is strong!!

When we realize that maybe we fell down but we serve a God a says "Arise" get up and know that I am with you and I will never leave you nor forsake you" and He means that even when you are laying face down in the dirt.

Keep trusting, Keep believing, Keep seeking, Keep knocking, and know that your God is stronger than anything coming your way!!

Psalm 77:26 My flesh and  my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Be encouraged!! Love & Blessing!
