Hi There! Great to connect with you again!
Recently, I had the opportunity to speak to the ladies of my church and I can honestly say I shared this Word with an expectancy in my heart.I would like to share just some thoughts from that message with you today. I know that we all desire to become more intentional in many areas of our lives and God is wanting to show us how to become more intentional about our relationship with Him!
James 1: 6-8 For a doubtful mind is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. People like that should not expect anything from the Lord. The can't make up their minds. They waver back and forth in everything they do.
An intentional woman has her mind set on things above.
We must refocus on who God is, what He is saying to us, and what His Word says to us.
An intentional woman says my life goes through seasons but my God does not change.
When we refocus we can become active in walking with God, walking in His Spirit, walking in HIS Words for us.
An intentional woman does not just "let life happen" but has a heart for God and His purpose in her.
Secondly, to be intentional we must rediscover!
Rediscover who we are in Christ!
Ephesians 2:10 For we are His masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
When we know we are His masterpiece, nothing the devil tries to throw at us changes our value. We are close to God!
Psalm 32:8 God directs us with His eye.
He desires that we keep our eyes on HIM! and when we do we find that He is instructing us, teaching us, and showing us the way that we should go.
Lastly, to be intentional we must renounce.
We renounce the lies of the devil and DECLARE the truth in God's Word.
When we renounce-- we declare that we are not going to abide there anymore. We are no longer going to engage in that place. Ladies, renounce the lies and stand in the truth!
I hope this small portion of the message that I decided to share with you will encourage you to be more intentional in your walk with the Lord! I certainly don't have this perfected but I am working to be an intentional woman.
I know that God is calling us to be intentional and stand for what His Word says about us!
