He paid a debt!

Easter is upon us! One of my favorite times! So often our minds turn to the food, eggs, candy, & baskets and these things are loads of fun and filled with memories. 
But most importantly let's not forget the price that was paid for us. Jesus Christ defied death. Jesus is greater than death. He won the victory over death Forever! He lives and reigns.
God's work on the cross is life changing. He sent His Son to save us. To pay a debt that we could not pay. 
One of my favorite scriptures.... so beautiful.....
Isaiah 53: 4-5 Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. 

I can hardly wait to celebrate on Resurrection Sunday! 
What a blessed people we are to serve a God that is alive and active in our daily lives! Share not only eggs & candy but let's share the message of Easter with those around us! If only, a reminder, it can change even the course of your day when you remind yourself that you should have died on that cross but your Lord took your place! 

Romans 1: 16-17 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith."
